1951 High School

    Although the caption along the bottom of this picture post card indicates that this is the “new” school, the photo had to have been taken several years after the school was completed as the water stains had accumulated along the south wall of the library.  It was probably taken around 1955.

   Construction began in May 1951.  Former De Leonian Tom Hill, then living in Vernon was the contractor.
