Blake Gideon

   Unlike the McCharen post card, we actually know who this person is. See if you do.

        He was born in De Leon Municipal Hospital.

        He lived briefly in Comanche.

        He graduated from Leander High School.

        He played on the 2009 University of Texas Longhorn football team and made a great interception in the National

              Championship game when Alabama, facing a 4th and 23 tried a fake punt.

        It is Blake Gideon, second year free safety, who has started all 27 games while at U.T.; 2 time Honorable Mention All Big 12; had 6 interceptions in 2009 but dropped that key interception at the Texas Tech game in 2008.

        Never-the-less, De Leon seems to have been a pretty good place to start.
