One hundred and one years ago this month, William Dale, the owner of the Bank of De Leon, took this photograph of De Leon’s longtime Post Master Clarence Roscoe Redden and his family on Redden’s thirtieth birthday.

    The couple in the rear are unidentified as is the child sitting on C.R. Redden’s lap  (the couple may be William Dale and his wife with Dale’s daughter being held by Redden).  The others are (L-R) Charlotte Kirk Redden (C.R.’s mother), longtime De Leon teacher Lucille Redden (Duke) age 6, C.R. Redden, Lulu Clark Ratten Redden (seated and expecting their third daughter Marie) and Regina Redden (Whaley) age 5.
