Finchers
Photos of Fincher Bros. later Fincher Feed taken in November 1939 by Lee Russell for the Farm Security Administration. Notice that the top two are taken from a sightly different angle revealing the old gas pump. A Royal Crown Cola sign is over the fence on the left. Note the man checking his tire. The building burned in August 1987. A replacement had been completed by October.
Below: a truck carrying peanut hay being weighed.
The Finchers purchased the store from Robert C. (Bob) Carter on May 3, 1938. Carter had acquired the store in 1928 from a Woodie Butler after Mr. Butler became a partner in Harvey and Butler Chevrolet.
