Photo of the 1949 funeral of Collis Macon when his body was returned to De Leon.  His remains arrived by train at 10:55 am on Wednesday, July 27, 1949, and the funeral was held at 4:30 that afternoon at the First Baptist Church with Rev. T.J. Sparkman officiating with Higginbotham Funeral Home in charge.
