McCharen Photo

   This post card was mailed from De Leon on September 9, 1910 to Sid McCharen in Oxford, Mississippi by his sister.  She indicated they got “here” alright.  The photo was supplied by Dot Weathersby a Mississippi cousin of several De Leon families and a McCharen descendent.

    One guess is that if it is a De Leon scene it may be on the day of the groundbreaking for the railroad branch which occurred in April 1910.  You can compare a similar post card photo on the railroad page.
