FIRST CHURCH OF GOD
The Church of God was established in De Leon on October 24, 1937, holding their first services in the city hall. A church building was constructed on the southeast corner of Seguin and Burleson, southwest of Perkins Middle School. It was opened on December 10, 1939 and was dedicated on December 17, 1939. Mary Lawson was the pastor for most of its existence.
