Oliver Springs
Oliver Springs is north of De Leon about two miles west of the Desdemona Highway. The community was named for a Mr. Oliver who donated land for the school in 1885. The school was located near the springs. The community the focal point for many of the families that moved to the De Leon area from Mississippi in several waves from 1890 through 1905.
