1914 FAIR

The De Leon Peach and Melon Festival began as the De Leon Free Fall Fair in 1914 and later merged with the Melon Slicing to become the Peach and Melon Festival.  These ribbons, one blue first place ribbon and two red second place ribbons were won by Lula Mae Smith Stone at the first Free Fall Fair probably for handmade items such as sewing or for cooked goods.
