South of Duster and west of De Leon, an empty church and cemetery marks the location of the Sand Hill Community.  A Post Office was established in the community on two occasions each time closing within a year.

The first was established on May 14, 1997 with the appointment of J.W. Green as Post Master.  The office was discontinued on September 2, 1887.

The second was established on July 16, 1890 with the appointment of James W. Vaughn.  Postal service was moved into De Leon only a month later on August 15, 1890.
