SNOW SCENES

Nurene Donahue Neel standing at the intersection of Texas and Gonzales following a 1925 snow storm. The building behind her which housed D.P. Lloyd Grocery at the time was built about 1890 by C.R. Redden Sr. and John Carter for Dr. Redden’s Drug store. It was built of De Leon brick and burned in 1928. Photo provided by John Neel.
