The De Leon Silver Cornet Band on the extreme right of the photo along with the Comanche Cornet Band in the center and the Dublin Land and Improvement Co. Band on the left.  The photo is believed to have been taken at the Comanche County Fair in 1890.  There appears to be an even dozen members of the De Leon band.  Clarence Redden is the only person who has been identified.  He is the first De Leon cornet player on the left on the front row.

Around 1926 Harmon Howard started a town band in De Leon and a few months later started a similar band in Comanche.  The two bands presented joint concerts throughout the area for several years.  The above photo may be of those combined bands around that time period rather than in 1922.
